Our Company

Direct Hazmat Consultants was established in 2018 to help organisations understand and manage hazardous material risks through clear, practical advice.

Based in Feilding, we provide asbestos and hazardous material consulting services across the central and lower North Island, from Taupō to Wellington and everywhere in between. We also deliver occupational hygiene services nationwide. We work with commercial, residential, public and private sector clients.

We combine technical expertise with clear communication to help our clients meet their obligations, manage risk and make informed decisions with confidence. Whether you're planning work, responding to an issue or managing ongoing compliance, we're here to provide practical advice and solutions you can rely on.

Our Team

At Direct Hazmat Consultants, our team brings together expertise in asbestos, hazardous materials and occupational hygiene.

Our team includes asbestos surveyors, licensed asbestos assessors and occupational hygienists who specialise in asbestos, workplace testing, indoor air quality, lead-based paint assessments, respirator fit testing and awareness training.

Ministry of Education (MoE) accredited supplier list

To make sure all asbestos-related activities in schools are conducted safely and effectively and are compliant with health and safety regulations, we have a list of accredited suppliers for asbestos-related work. 

From 1 April 2026, using the accredited supplier list is compulsory for asbestos-related services in schools.  

The list is split into 3 service categories: 

  • asbestos consultants (asbestos surveyors and licenced asbestos assessors)

  • licenced asbestos removalists

  • IANZ accredited laboratories – asbestos analysis.
