Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
A respirator will only protect the wearer if it fits correctly. Fit testing is a legal requirement for workers who are required to wear tight-fitting respiratory protective equipment (RPE), ensuring the respirator forms an effective seal against the face.
Our experienced occupational hygiene team includes two certified Commit2Fit fit testers, providing both quantitative and qualitative respirator fit testing for a wide range of respirator brands and models.
We can carry out fit testing at our Feilding office or travel to your workplace. We also provide practical advice on respirator selection, correct use, and when re-testing is required
A new fit test is recommended whenever:
A different respirator make, model, or size is used
There are significant facial changes, such as weight loss or gain, dental work, or scarring
The respirator no longer provides an effective seal
